If you wish to hunt in Ontario, you must have the
Hunting section of the Ontario Outdoors Card and a License valid
for the species, or group of species, you want to hunt.
To apply for the Outdoors Card you need to take the
Ontario Hunter Education Program Course, and pass its' test.
The primary purpose of the Hunter Education
Program is to assist you to develop the knowledge and skills
essential to become a safe and ethical hunter, and to take part in
Ontario's Great Outdoor Heritage!
To accomplish this, you must understand the
Safe and proper firearms handling
Respect for wildlife, private property, and other uses
of the outdoors
The role that modern regulated hunting plays in
Courses are 12 hours in duration spread over 2
days. The test is held after completion of the course. We have
Certified Instructors to teach and examine this course.
